Let us know what you think of “A Monster Calls”.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on this years READ DL title, as a group or individually.

  • Did you enjoy reading it?
  • Was there a favourite part in it for you?
  • Did you like how the monster interacted with Conor?
  • What did you think of his Granny?
  • Did you get to the end without reaching for a packet of tissues?

These are a few simple questions if you’re stuck about what to say about it. We don’t expect an essay, just a few honest words about your involvement in this years project.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

      Hi Pauline,
Thanks for your interest. However, at the moment the online book club isn’t active. We have an annual initiative called Read DL for which we have opened the forum up for discussion about this years book, hence the recent activity. We do have active book clubs in some of our branches. We can give you more information if you are interested in finding out more about these.

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for you reply. I am working overseas and I saw the online book club and I thought it looked interesting. I thought that I might participate in it while living abroad. I am currently reading the book A Monster calls and I will give some feedback when I have completed it. Thank you.

      Hi Pauline,

Sorry for the late reply, It’s a fab book and we would love to hear your feedback. Please feel free to share your thoughts here. I have to say it is one of the most heart wrenching novels I have read in a long time.

Looking forward to hearing from you if you decide to share 🙂
